KARU YOUTH FOOTBALL ACADEMY FITNESS AND DIET SAFETY POLICY

This Fitness and Diet Safety Policy establishes guidelines to ensure the health, safety, and
optimal performance of all players through structured fitness programs and proper nutrition. The
policy aims to prevent injury, enhance performance, and promote overall well-being.

This policy applies to:

  1. All registered players (senior, youth, and academy levels)
  2. Coaching staff and fitness trainers
  3. The Head of Dieting and Nutrition
  4. Medical and support personnel

Governance and Responsibility

Head of Dieting and Nutrition
The Head of Dieting and Nutrition shall:

i.   Develop and oversee individualized and team-based nutrition plans
ii.  Ensure all dietary practices comply with health and safety standards
iii. Monitor players’ nutritional intake and hydration levels
iv. Educate players on proper nutrition, supplementation, and recovery

Players

i. Adhere strictly to prescribed fitness and dietary programs
ii. Report any discomfort, injury, or health concerns promptly
iii. Avoid unauthorized supplements or substances

Diet and Nutrition Safety Guidelines

All players shall follow nutrition plans approved by the Head of Dieting and Nutrition
Meals. must:
i. Be balanced (carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals)
ii. Support training, match performance, and recovery

Hydration:

Players must maintain adequate fluid intake before, during, and after activities

Supplements:

i.  Only approved supplements may be used
ii. Use of banned or unverified substances is strictly prohibited
Special dietary needs (e.g., allergies, medical conditions) must be documented and
accommodate.
iii. Anti-Doping and Substance Control
iv. The club maintains a zero-tolerance policy for banned substances


Players must:

i. Only consume supplements approved by the Head of Dieting and Nutrition
ii. Disclose all medications and supplements being taken
iii. The club shall conduct periodic awareness sessions on anti-doping regulations Education and Awareness
iv. The club shall organize periodic workshops on:
v. Nutrition and healthy eating habits
vi. Injury prevention and recovery
vii. Safe training practices
